Finally back online. Last Thursday my area got the brunt of the snow here. I'm not sure what the final totals were but I'd say at least 12" or more. We lost power Thursday evening and it wasn't restored until Monday evening. Over 150,000 thousand were without power for at least some part of those days. Hotels, restaurants and Home Depot were all very busy indeed.
We played board games by candle light, read books using the mini book lights and slept. Except for the cold it was refreshing to be totally unconnected for a bit. Now back to the real world. I did bake a nice loaf of Brown Irish Soda Bread, yummm. A nice treat after days of no power.
